Re schoolhouse, true it depends on whether we might need to borrow that room in
the ICS building. The Longstone is right on Pearse St, next to the Screen
cinema on hawkins st - there are quite a few bus stops near by.
Mahaffey's is a short stroll from there and close to Pearse St dart station.

pubs.ie or somesuch website should have directions for these places :-)
