I'd second most of the things.
Forum/bb is definitely not necessary. This is a mailing list
so lets not get redundant! Also, I think IrishWebmasterForum is
a good place to gather instead of another forum.
As for other things I'd keep in mind that we have a tendency
to build for building's sake and really all that stuff mightn't be
used but sure maybe the fun's in the doing for whoever wants to.
Creating a repository (sic? not the medical type) would be a good idea
possibly or some sort of SVN.
PS:I like top posting, live with it :P
