An online game, a new product, a useful, novel application? I don't think the web *needs* another blog.

Meanwhile, I meant it when I offered to build the whole thing. I come through with the projects I choose and don't "drop the ball" (who does that?) My last project was ICHEC (before the hyperlinks started overflowing their DIVs like weeds over cracked walls) so I'm looking for a new challenge. Setting up Drupal isn't exactly what I hoped for.

ok - if you're looking for ideas on projects that are not concerned
solely with PHP, I hav a few. I haven't started on these yet as I am
still not finished with my current project, KFM, and don't want to be
stretched thin.
1. a massively multiplayer online realtime strategy game in the style of
Dungeon Keeper.
I just love Dungeon Keeper. It would be cool if there was a game where
I could play that in a persistent world with players from all over the
world. I have ideas on how I could manage this using AJAX.
2. online music writer, using tab or musical notation.
Again with the AJAX. I have ideas on how this could even be made to
make money...
3. distributed neural net trainer
And yet again, AJAX (let's just assume that everything I'm ever going
to mention is a combination of JavaScript and PHP). Imagine every time a
browser visits a webpage of yours, it downloads a small ANN and some
sample data to train against, the browser then works on that in the
background, and periodically returns its findings? It would mean less
work for your own machines, and the visitors "pay" for your information
by doing work for you.
4. volunteer some work to KFM :-)
I'm nearing version 1.0, but have ideas already mapped out up to 2.0,
including a web-based MP3 player, movie player and other cool stuff.
