Ok, someone seems confused and it might even be me!
I was under the impression that AJ was referring to the monthly
meetings which occur
"simultaneously" in Dublin, Cork and Monaghan [1] as opposed to some
larger meeting
for which people might decide to travel further distances for.

There's no reason why we can't have both - monthly local meetings and
larger ones for the IPUG
as a whole. These could perhaps be scheduled every 3 months and rotate
between set venues and
once a year one of them could also be treated as the AGM.
