Hi Guys
Here are a few words from my holidays in Asia.

Not only. It can concern companies, general media and press activities as
well. Some translations or parallel activities can be made by people not
specially PHP engineers. It can go to recruitment help, or even training
centers.
The point is to promote PHP and to centralize activity around it, for
example to become the Irish structure where people will come to ask about
PHP for whatever the reason they will have. The biggest trap would be to
reduce the IPUG to a pure engineering view, because it will considerably
reduce the perspectives and future opportunities for everybody.

Agreed. My point is to make rules only when we need them. General lines
should be enough, we are supposed to be between smart people with common
interest. For now, the rules should more concern the administrative part and
the way to dispose of the money we will have to manage.

I suppose this will only concern people with responsibilities and duties? Or
are you thinking to a way to exclude a simple member as well, that mean to
put him out of the mailing list?
For board members, I presume an internal "" what to not do" should be
evaluated. But we have to protect members against politics as well: to do
not like somebody shouldn't be a reason to put him out. But I agree this
point should be considered.

I think the point is "do not use the group money or for personal interest".
Does the law say anything about it there? In France this can be severely
punished....
Cheers from Hong Kong before my trip to Macao.
