This is really the way to go.

That's a lot of people. Do we have 6 persons ready and willing to take
responsibilities there today? And more, do we need 6 people just to exist
and to try to start to do things?
In France we have one president, one treasurer, one secretary, and after we
have a kind of board with people responsible of their area. The point is to
help to make things go fast. If somebody has an idea or an opportunity to do
something, he should be able to do them quickly after a short information
transfer with the concerned responsible. No point to organize meeting with 6
people and absolute majority for every single steps or ideas. It will freeze
everything.
